My article in the French Progresse newspaper about the artist Mustafa Rahma’s exhibition

There is always an inherent relationship between the branches of art and each other. And you find a deep relationship between photography and fine art. The art of photography was born from the womb of fine art. And when I visited the atelier of the great artist Mustafa Rahma to photograph the works of his last exhibition before showing them. I felt that I was a pious devotee. Sufi artist. A dedicated creator in communicating his ideas and philosophy to his paintings full of stories of beauty and scenes of love and tenderness of feeling. It is my nature when I am invited to visit an artist’s studio, whether it is a friendly invitation or a business visit. firstWhat I long to see before his work is his private library, whether read or audio. I found myself greatly impressed by his library, his dialogues in all directions of art, his old and modern schools, the extent of his love for eastern and western music, and the positive artistic energies. I found in him sobriety in his thought, breadth in his culture, depth in his philosophy, and sensitivity in his artistic sense. What made us discuss for a long time, and we became close, as if one of us had known the other for ages. So it was a compatible and beautiful meeting in his warm, radiant studio, which I feltT by containing its walls for those works. The artist’s work inside the studio is like the affectionate house in which the infant is born, so he takes care of it and nurtures it, and increases it in detail and splendor. Other than seeing the work in the exhibition hall, it appears brightly lit and stylized, as well as the elegant invitation to a party. They both have different visual and sensory returns. After that, the artist reviewed his works with me, in which I saw a momentum of social dialogues, human feelings, and disparate elements with a different imprint, distinct taste, unique style, and a special technique that I had not seen from anyone before him. As a professional photographer, appropriate lighting equipment was distributed for his workIn order to show all its details accurately, I fixed the 105mm macro f2.8 lens on my camera, and thank God, I liked all the imaging results very much. As for my artistic vision as a photographer and visual artist of (Rahma’s) works, I find in her lines features of his personality and in her colors a sense of happiness and joy, stripped of garishness, and harmonious musical harmony without abnormality. He creates from the figment of his imagination lines and curves that form his feminine elements with a special composition. Unconventional beauty. Distinctive specifications always adhered to his unique artistic style. And their stories that appeal to my eyeballs and call for a lotA collection of situations, memories, and atmospheres that immerse you in stories from Egyptian society, as if they were telling the story of every family in every home. With intimacy, wood and a pure smile. I loved all of his works because, despite their different stories, they are like a chain that does not want to lose a link. Mostafa’s symphonic works have an interesting musical vocabulary and harmonious scenes that attract your eyes from the first moment with their compositions and the joy of their colors and entertain you in his world full of obese women gracefully and the naked ones with decency and dignity. And elegantly groomed. And the authorities politely and modestly. And illiterate people with the utmost culture. They are the mothersWives, sisters, daughters, divorcees, and spinsters, and their relationship with their husbands, children, and their community. Rahma’s works are museum frames that should be appreciated and acquired by the Ministry concerned with culture, so that art lovers can be inspired by meanings, messages, and contents that elevate the spirit and enlighten hearts with love and peace. I advise him to continue creativity and diversity and spread his pioneering philosophy in thought, drawing and writing. His paintings are like a poem that reveals its secrets between the lines of its verses. His lines are like a hymn drawn by lips drawn with rare creativity and romance. Its colors are like a chemical equation of a magical mixture that never gets tired of.It is a fantasy rooted in the roots of our people. It has a fragrance that we know and enjoy morning and evening. I wish him and the reader of these lines good health, happiness, and more creativity and enjoyment.
