Tomislav Peternek ( Vinkovci , May 22, 1933 ) is a Serbian photographer, a co-author of the older generation.
- Biography
He finished Real Gymnasium in Vinkovci . She has been working since 1954 . years. He starts working in “Light” ( Kragujevac ) with a photo shoot. Soon he comes to Belgrade , and continues in “Borba”, “Sport and World”, “Youth”, “Yugoslav magazine”, “Economic Policy”.
He photographed the consequences of the Earthquake in Skopje in 1963 and half a century later presented them at an exhibition in Skopje. [1]
Since 1970 . is the editor of photography in the Belgrade weekly NIN . He remains on retirement in 1993 . years. In that period, he published about seven hundred pages of this important political magazine. Along with work in photo journalism, Peternek also deals with applied photography, advertising, fashion, underwater.
He is a participant in numerous group photo exhibitions. Member of the ULUPUDS, and the Association of Journalists of Yugoslavia and Serbia.
At the Yugoslav Institute of Journalism, he started an education course for photo reporter in 1985 . As a mentor of the department educates over three hundred young people, most of whom are significant names in the field of news photography. Since 1980 . He is engaged in underwater photography: shooting in the Adriatic Sea, the Caribbean Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea. As a pensioner, since 1993 . He works as a freelance artist for years. Works for photos for various sheets around the world. Accredited correspondent at the Ministry of Information of Yugoslavia from large photo agencies; Reuters, Eastlight, Contrast, UNICEF, and the last eight years for Corbis-Sygm from Paris. She lives and works in Belgrade .
